Cindy graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in accounting. She moved from Ohio to Wilmington in 2012 and started working at Bladen Eye Center in 2013. She is passionate about providing the best patient care possible. Cindy is dedicated to creating an environment for both the team members and patients to enjoy and feel like they are part of the Bladen Eye Center family. She married her husband Aaron in 2014 and together they care for their 2 fur-babies Duke and Jade. She enjoys hiking, bike rides, live music, brewing beer, and escaping to the mountains in Asheville anytime they can.
Lisa is our Office Manager at Bladen Eye Center. From a young age, Lisa began her career in administrative/office management. She made the decision to stay home to raise her three children and care for her parents. In 2010, Lisa re-entered the workforce at a traumatic brain injury/spinal cord rehabilitation center. Her passion for caring about each patient's needs lead her to her role here at Bladen Eye Center. She is dedicated to ensuring each patient is provided with the best care possible for all their eye health needs.
Lisa is originally from Meriden, Connecticut. She relocated with her family to North Carolina in 2004. Lisa loves to enjoy beautiful days at the beach, camping and, of course, spending time with her family including her adorable grandson Timmy and her two great dane fur babies.
Rebecca started working as our Optician in July of 2016 after leaving a 16 year career in Veterinary medicine. She shares her husbands love of music and enjoys the fun of meeting new people & traveling with the band that he plays in. Also a huge UNC Tar Heels fan, she looks forward to college basketball/football season every year. Rebecca & her husband share their lives with 5 dogs and 1 cat.
Angela Sweat is one of our optometric technicians at Bladen Eye Center. She has worked in this field for 3 1/2 years and I LOVES it! Her goal in life is to become a more spiritual person and draw closer to God. She started with the company in August 2020 and she enjoys working with a great team. She is a mother of 3 beautiful children Gabrielle(17) Ian (10) and Emma (4). Her husband and herself are also caregivers to 2 nephews Tyrese (17) Kendrick (7). There is never a dull moment around her family. She enjoys making people smile and loves helping people each day at Bladen Eye Center.
Ashley Gurganus joined the practice in 2020 as an Optometric Technician. Born and raised in North Carolina. She is mother to a sassy girl, Emmalyn. Growing up, she always wanted to be a teacher, but decided to take a leap of faith and go a different direction in 2017. She says it was the best decision because it has put her where she is today. Over the years, she has enjoyed learning more about the anatomy of the eye and providing the best patient care. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her daughter on Target and Starbucks trips, spending time with her family and friends, and being at the beach.
Aleah Cameron is one our optometric technicians. She began her career in eye care in August of 2016, right out of high school. It wasn't something she planned on doing, she wanted to be a Pediatric Oncologist, but she quickly fell in love with eye care. In 2018, Aleah became a mother to her son Luca Jay. She joined Bladen Eye Center July of 2020, which she has thoroughly enjoyed. On the weekends she enjoys spending time with Luca, shopping, and mostly eating! Aleah's dream is to go to Optometry school and become an Optometrist. Aleah is very passionate about her job and enjoys working with all her patients.
Marsha started working at Bladen Eye Center in November 2020. She has been in health care for over 10 years. Marsha's official title is patient coordinator/optical specialist but her job doesn't stop there. She also can step in as an optometric technician and help out at the front desk. The team depends on her to help anywhere needed throughout the day. She is originally from New Jersey and moved here in 2009. She has been married to her husband Chris for the past 25 years. She is the mother of their 3 children and a grandmother of 2. In her spare time Marsha and her family enjoy traveling and going to different ATV parks.
